The last few years we have rented a house on Lake Michigan during July for our family to come together and stay connected. With two families in Indiana, one now in Michigan and one in Oregon…this allows all our children and their families to get caught up and keep us in touch with our Michigan roots.
This year we rented a new house that was plenty large enough and just yards from the beach. We were within walking distance to the town and enjoyed coffee houses and good restaurants plus nice walks around the Marina. The area had some good choices for golf and the weather allowed every day to be a “beach” day. Some of our extended family also visited to see all the family.
It was a good time together and a good break for us to get out of the campground and into a house for vacation. Of course that sounds a little backwards!!!
