NORMAL
Conforming to the standard or the common type;

We all have our own definition of what normal is all about. Summer time usually causes us to get out of our routines and do crazy things…like going on vacation. The kids are out of school, the weather is nice and the speed of life just goes by differently during this time of the year.
Normal for many people starts first thing in the morning with their wake-up routine – a shower and a cup of coffee. The evening can be the same way – a routine before bed time that pretty much happens every night.
The Olympics have transformed the last two weeks into something very unique. Every night we could watch all kinds of competitions in events like track, gymnastics and synchronized diving. We didn’t follow the schedule so we were surprised each evening with the events and it has been an unusual “vacation” of sorts during the middle of our summer.
The biggest problem for me was the interruption of two of my favorite shows during the entire two weeks. Those two shows have been the foundation of my TV watching.
Yes….I’m talking about Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy.
I have gone an entire two weeks….virtually half a month….with no Vanna….no Pat….no Alex and it has disrupted my bio-rhythms. Evening came and I checked the DVR queue only to be reminded there was nothing to watch because the Olympics were on. Now that the closing ceremony is over I see The Wheel and Jeopardy are back in the queue.
The universe is now back in it’s proper order.
