On Sunday we attended a church that is located in Orange Beach, AL just down the road about a mile from the beach. They’re known as “Christian Life” but call themselves “The Island Church”. As we drove in we noticed the sign said there was going to be a concert in place of the normal service. The singing group had been there the night before for a Valentine’s dinner and concert.
“The Katina’s” are a group of 5 Samoan brothers who had grown up in Oceanside, CA which is a suburb of San Diego. They are part of a family with 12 children and their father had been in the Marines.
We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the concert and song selection. They did not come across as too commercial and presented a sincere message with some awesome music.
We plan on going back next Sunday and to hear the Pastor. Art thought he looked like Kenny Rogers!!!!
