Horses Up Close and Personal

Living in a subdivision there is little chance to see farm animals up close and personal. As a child you may take a field trip to the farm and watch a farmer milk a cow.

We have friends that live on a horse farm. They board a few horses for their son and daughter-in-law and some locals. Dave and Jackie have learned a lot about horses during the last few years as they make sure the animals in their care are well cared for and healthy.

We had brunch with them and they suggested we bring our two oldest grandchildren who stayed with us during the week of Art Camp at Taylor University. We took them up on it and took the kids to see the horses. They were both surprised how big horses are in person. One horse in particular was very friendly and appreciated being petted.

They had a good education about horses up close and personal.
