This week we helped our oldest son and daughter-in-law by watching their two sons for a big part of the week. Becky is getting her teaching certificate updated so that she can start the process of getting back into the world of teaching at the elementary level. That meant we had the 7 year old and the 5 year old at our RV.
We did everything we could to tire them out which included a lot of time at the beach, jumping on a new campground inflatable jumping pad, campfires and smores, hiking the mile loop around the campground, lunch at McDonald’s, gluten-free pizza at Domino’s and watching the new movie – Despicable Me 2…which we must admit was pretty funny.
Grandpa made sure they saw a lot of Loony Tunes cartoons and, for the first time, introduced them to the adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle. They loved it and left wanting more.
They were pretty silly most of the time they were with us but we could see how much they have grown older in just a year. Dylan will be in 2nd grade this fall while Jackson will be starting school.
They are not babies anymore!
